If you are struggling for time or live remotely book in for an online Zoom or Phone counselling session, available Wednesdays and Thursdays (alternate days available on request).
Face to face individual counselling sessions
I offer a combination of indoor and nature based therapy, ask me more when you enquire.

Counselling session $170 fee. Please ask admin about fee scaling for Health Care Card Holders.

Private Health Funds: Your Health fund can inform you if you are eligible for rebates to see an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, including top cover for BUPA, University or teachers Health Fund, Nurses and Midwives Health Fund.

Decide whether you want your sessions to be online, over the phone or in person, then fill out the enquiry form

Initial consult
We meet for 50-60 minutes to discuss your needs, and decide if I am the right therapist for you. During this session, we also plan your therapeutic journey by exploring options for nature based therapy or in room consultations.

Ongoing support
With your mental health care plan you are eligible for 10 medicare rebated sessions per calendar year.

Is a medicare rebate available?Medicare rebate of $79 is available with a valid Mental Health Care Plan from your GP

What is the difference between a Psychologist and Social Worker?Social workers study a 4 year University degree including subjects such as: Philosophy, Psychology, Social Policy, Research methods, Law and the Social Sciences, Ethics, Sociology, Counselling theory and modalities and 900 hours of practice experience prior to graduation. Social Workers who are accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers can provide counselling service to clients with a mental health care plan the same as Psychologists and Mental Health accredited Occupational Therapists. Also like Psychologists and mental health accredited Occupational Therapists, Social Workers must update their knowledge and skills in their chosen field of mental health to maintain accreditation.

How do I know if Cassandra is the right therapist for me?Start by reading through my website and facebook page to see if your values and views on the world align with my style of counselling. We will discuss your needs at your first appointment and if you feel comfortable we can continue. I am more than happy to help you find the right therapist for you, your mental well being is the most important thing to consider.

What is nature based therapy?Counselling that is undertaken in the outside environment. The way I include nature based therapy is by going for a walk in nature, sitting amongst the trees in the garden or attending to garden beds. We will begin our session indoors to set our goals for the session.

How does payment work?Invoices will be emailed and payment is requested within 7 days. If you require Medicare rebate, please let us know and we can organise your rebate.

Non attendance feesIf a session is booked but you do not turn up, please note that a non attendance fee will be charged.
